Additional Course in the European Human Rights Law

 

From April 27th to May 20th students of Master in European Integration had a unique opportunity to attend the additional course in the European Human Rights Law. The course was held by outstanding lecturers with valuable experience in the field of human rights.

 

At the very beginning, Prof. Dr. Dragoljub Popovic, former Judge at the European Court of Human Rights held several detailed lectures on the fallowing topics: Autonomous Concepts in the Case-Law of the ECtHR; Access to Justice in the Case-Law of the ECtHR and Protection of Property in the Case-Law of the ECtHR.

 

Thereafter, New York State Judge and Surrogate - Frank J. LaBuda held a lecture on the topic: Freedom of Religion and Expression under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

 

 

Students also had an opportunity to hear a very interesting lectures about Prohibition of Slavery and Forced Labor in the Case-Law of the ECtHR and Temporal limitations of the right to life: Abortion and Euthanasia, given by Prof. Dr. Violeta Besirevic from Faculty of Law Union University of Belgrade. 

 

 

 

 

Finally, Aysegul Uzun Marinkovic, LL M - Lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights gave two very inspiring lectures about Articles 2 and 3 of the ECHR.
